Animal Friend Ursula Bates Passes Away

It is with great sadness that I report on the passing away of Ursula Bates, a wonderful lady known to many in the UK animal rights movement for her steadfast dedication. She was instrumental in the launch of the campaign against foie gras peddling Selfridges in Birmingham, and campaigners at PETA all sing her praises. A leading member of Solihull Animal Aid, she raised thousands of pounds for animals and organised/attended countless protests over the years. Ursula passed away yesterday in the early hours of the morning after losing her battle with cancer. Thank you for all of your help, from all at PETA.

Ursula is the lady on the right wearing blue.
