Victory: Foie Gras Just Isn’t Cricket!

It’s been a great summer for England’s cricket fans, with the team currently the ICC Twenty20 champion, the holders of the Ashes and the top-ranked test side in the world. Advantage Ducks and Geese – Foie Gras Is Out at Wimbledon

For those tennis fans among you, we’ve got some ace news to share! After being contacted by PETA, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) has confirmed that foie gras is out this year and will not be appearing on official event menus.

Birds used for foie gras know only pain and suffering from birth until death. Confined for their entire existence to tiny, filthy cages and pens, these natural water birds are lucky if they so much as glimpse a large body of water, let alone have the chance… Read more.

Owain Yeoman Thinks Fortnum & Mason are Mental for Selling Foie Gras

Surrounded by “crime scene” hazard tape and chalk body outlines of dead geese, Welsh-born star Owain Yeoman, who plays Special Agent Wayne Rigsby in the hit Channel 5 television programme The Mentalist, led a protest against Fortnum & Mason’s continued sale of foie gras. Brandishing a sign that read, “F&M: Investigate Compassion – Ban Foie Gras”, Yeoman called for Fortnum & Mason to follow the lead of Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, who have stopped selling the horrible product under pressure from PETA. Victory: Royal Shakespeare Company Goes Foie Gras–Free!

We have some great news to share! After being contacted by PETA and a number of their patrons, the Royal Shakespeare Company and its Rooftop Restaurant have agreed to end their sale of foie gras. They are the latest to join a growing list of British establishments that have dropped foie gras, including Selfridges and the BAFTAs. Prince Charles has even banned the vile product from his Royal residence.

West End Stars to Fortnum & Mason: ‘Bring the Final Curtain Down’ on Foie Gras

Fortnum & Mason Make Former Playboy Model ‘Cross’

Bodypainted to resemble St George’s Cross and holding a sign that read, “Fortnum & Mason: Stop Importing Cruelty. Drop Foie Gras”, five nearly naked PETA supporters – including former Playboy model Victoria Eisermann – unfurled themselves outside Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly today just in time for St. George’s Day. The lovely ladies’ point? Fortnum & Mason Outshone by PETA’s Mass Balloon Giveaway

Shoppers walking past Fortnum & Mason today may have walked away with more than they bargained for. 9 PETA Action Team members from all over the world turned out en masse to hand out 500 balloons that read, “Fortnum & Mason: Drop cruel foie gras”, on one side and had an image of a goose on the other side. The balloons were handed out as part of PETA’s campaign to get the store to join others, such as Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, in ditching the “torture in a tin”.

Four Gorgeous Girls Deliver Huge Valentine’s Day Card to Fortnum & Mason

On Saturday, four of our lovely PETA Action Team members asked passers-by outside Fortnum & Mason to sign a huge Valentine’s Day card that read, “Make Valentine’s Day Happy for the Birds Too!” on the front and “Dear Fortnum & Mason, please have a heart and drop foie gras” on the inside.

Dressed all in red, the PETA beauties convinced more than 100 members of the public – including Fortnum & Mason’s own customers – to sign the card with their own messages condemning their sale of foie… Read more.
