Enough of This Serious Elections Talk, Watch This!

So I’ve managed to hold off on blogging America’s presidential elections until now, but hey, election day is here and the media is just bursting with gossip and scandal – NOW I’m excited! When we wake up bright and early tomorrow morning, we will (hopefully, unless we have another 2000 fiasco) know who is the new President of the United States of America. Wow. And you Brits (me included) should care y’know – this has an impact on the whole world.

But as I said, enough of the serious stuff. Watch this cute video PETA US made called Road to the Greenhouse and imagine a world where we can elect a carrot…

Giant Carrot Marries

When I was over in the US last Summer, I hung out with a giant carrot. His name was Chris P. Carrot and his job at PETA US is to encourage kids and adults alike to eat their veggies and not their friends. Here I am with him at a baseball park in Virginia (oh by the way, baseball isn’t a patch on football) – don’t we look cute together?! Our photo was even featured in Animal Times.

Anyway, I just heard that Chris P. Carrot has got married. To a seven-foot pea pod, no less. I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing them luck in their long life together. Ahem. Funny stuff aside, the mascot does a great job of informing children about the healthy and humane vegetarian lifestyle.
