Taxing Meat Should Have Been in the Budget

As you may know, the Budget took place yesterday and has been dubbed by the media as the ‘Green Budget’ due to its ‘environmentally friendly’ tax impositions. What I failed to see was the most environmentally friendly and energy efficient solution possible – a tax on meat. The UK, and the rest of the world too, should put tax on meat for a number of reasons: environmental, health and of course for the animals. Why?
