PHOTOS: Rylan Unveils His New Nearly Naked PETA Ad

Rylan Clark definitely looked like he was having fun today as he showed off his brand-new ad for PETA at London’s Marble Arch. The cheeky image highlights the Celebrity Big Brother star’s impressive and well-defined… opinions about cruelty to animals, as he comes out of the closet about being fur-free and fabulous. “If you see me in something furry, I’m faking it all the way!” he proudly proclaims.

‘Drugs. Breakdowns. Death.’ PETA US’ New Billboard Tells the Real Story of Horseracing

What’s the biggest tradition in thoroughbred horseracing? Not fancy hats or cocktails –it’s drugs. Whether “therapeutic” or illegal, horses are often dosed with chemicals to keep them running, a practice that results in countless tragic breakdowns on the track and the deaths of dozens of animals every week.

Drugs. Breakdown. Death. PETA Billboard at Kentucky Derby

Visitors to America’s highest-profile race, the Kentucky Derby, this weekend will get a striking reminder of these shady behind-the-scenes practices, thanks to PETA US’ bold new billboard, which will be driven in front of the track’s entrance between now and the day of the … Read more.

What if Animals Wore ‘Human Fur’? Shocking Ad Turns the Tables on Fashion’s Sick Obsession

Wearing the skin of another animal – an animal forced to live in a cramped, filthy cage before having the hide ripped from his or her back – is a pretty disturbing fashion statement.

For anyone who hasn’t yet grasped that message, this thought-provoking ad should be an eye-opener. Donated by top ad agency Ogilvy & Mather, the video depicts a catwalk show with a twist: the statuesque models are “foxes”, and their grisly outfits include a coat made from dozens of “human arms”.

In reality of course, it’s humans who … Read more.

Rockers’ Daughters Star as Angels for Animals

You’re never too young to speak out for what’s right. Thirteen-year-old Anaïs Gallagher, 10-year-old Stella Jones and 8-year-old Ava Jones – daughters of Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and The Clash’s Mick Jones – have proved it by teaming up with PETA for this brand-new ad to combat cruelty.

The angelic trio showed that you can have a good time while communicating a serious message, as they dressed up in tutus and combat boots and let their hair down for the fun photo shoot, which was shot by top celeb photographer Pal Hansen.

Is this the Grossest PETA US Ad Yet?

Our colleagues at PETA US have come up with an ad that visualises just what eggs really are: chicken menstruation. It is a thought that makes us cringe, but chicken periods are exactly what you’re eating every time you fry, scramble or bake with eggs. We’ll spare you the full ad, but we’ve included a censored version below. If you are brave enough, visit PETA US’ website to see the full version.

Sheridyn Fisher Swaps Lingerie for Lettuce Leaves in New Easter-Themed PETA Ad

Just in time for Easter, Playboy and cover model Sheridyn Fisher is showing her love for rabbits – and “rabbit food” – by wearing only strategically placed lettuce leaves in a new ad for PETA, which encourages everyone to show compassion for bunnies and other animals by embracing vegetarian meals. In the ad, the lettuce bikini–clad Fisher gives herself lettuce leaf “bunny ears” and grins above the words, “Be a Bunny’s Honey. Go Vegetarian.”

New PETA ‘Freak Show’ Ad Shines the Spotlight on Crufts

With Crufts so close, we’ve released a hard-hitting, old-fashioned–style “freak show” ad which activists will hand out to visitors attending the event. The ad shines the spotlight on a fact that the Kennel Club would rather keep quiet: that many of the most popular breeds of dogs have been bred for looks instead of health, welfare and temperament.

Would You Eat Your Dog?

How would children feel if Spot and Fluffy were stuffed and roasted for Christmas? That’s what we’re asking this holiday season with a new billboard that shows an animal who’s a cross between a dog and a turkey. We decided to run the billboard near Manchester schools in the hope that it will spark a dialogue between kids and their parents.

“Kids love animals, and if they thought about how turkeys feel pain and fear just as dogs and cats do, they’d trade in their drumsticks for a veggie roast in a … Read more.

British Bollywood Star Jiah Khan Goes Wild in New PETA Ad

Crouched in a cage wearing a leopard-print bodysuit next to the words “Wild Animals Belong in the Wild. Boycott Zoos”, Bollywood beauty Jiah Khan stars in a brand-new ad for PETA to spread the word that animals suffer in captivity.

“Actors choose to entertain, but animals locked away in zoos are given no choice”, says Jiah. “All strong-willed beings treasure their freedom above all else, and that applies to tigers, elephants, bears, monkeys and other animals too.”

Elen Rivas’ Anti-Bullfighting Ad Won’t Fly With easyJet

A new ad from PETA – in which Spanish-born celebrity Elen Rivas appears nude and “bleeding” from the banderillas stuck in her back next to the words “The Naked Truth: Bullfighting Is Cruel” – has been deemed too racy to run in Traveller, easyJet’s in-flight magazine. We’d hoped to reach British tourists with the message about boycotting bullfighting when they visit Spain, but the magazine’s publishers have ruled that although they sympathise with the cause, they cannot run the artwork because of the graphic nature of the images and the nudity … Read more.
