When we heard that North Norfolk District Council was selling a disused lavatory in the seaside town of Sheringham, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try to help aquatic animals. PETA proposed placing an anti-fishing ad that reads, “What’s That Pong? Fishing Stinks, Go Vegan,” on the side of the public toilet, which overlooks the sea, until it sells.
Whilst locals may think the toilet stunk, what really stinks is the abuse that fish suffer as they are dragged from the sea, stamped on, cut open whilst still … Read more.

Recent reports reveal that contaminated German eggs containing dioxins – a highly toxic group of chemicals known to cause cancer – have entered the British food chain, including in cakes and quiches sold in British supermarkets, and the contamination has now spread to meat. PETA’s Sexy Santas were outside Fortnum & Mason yesterday with a little gift for shoppers. Our very own “Santa’s little helpers” handed out personalised carrier bags showing customers why Fortnum & Mason should get a lump of coal this Christmas for continuing to sell foie gras.

After seeing the video, A&G Barber’s biggest customer, a German sausage manufacturer, cancelled its contract.
Animal Aid’s investigation revealed that at six out of the seven abattoirs they filmed, workers routinely and … Read more.

PETA are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these vicious attacks. A reward may also deter the attacker from attacking again.
Animal abuse is a symptom of a deep … Read more.

It’s no surprise that Stephen Griffiths – who was charged last week with murdering three women in Bradford – allegedly abused animals in the past. According to news reports, Griffiths, now known as the “crossbow killer”, bred rats to feed to his lizards. A former friend claimed that on one occasion, Griffiths ate a live baby rat whole and found this cruel act amusing.
Child-killers Mary Bell, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables as well as multiple murderers Ian Huntley, Thomas Hamilton (Dunblane massacre), Fred West, Denis Nilsen, … Read more.
