Moshi Moshi, Brighton’s best loved sushi restaurant, has always been popular with vegans because of its many fish- and meat-free options. Now the restaurant has gone one step further and netted itself a PETA award for teaming up with ethical food firm Redwood to offer compassionate customers delicious fishless options like “fish” udon and stir-fry noodles.
Moshi Moshi’s owner says the move was prompted by the company’s firm belief in “restorative eating” and that “[o]ne way we can do this is by decreasing our reliance on animal proteins and to eat … Read more.
Much-loved wildlife expert Bill Oddie made an unexpected appearance at Fortnum & Mason’s Christmas window unveiling today dressed as Santa Claus to call on Fortnum & Mason to be good, for goodness’ sake, and stop selling foie gras! Oddie stunned shoppers as he loudly explained that Fortnum & Mason pays producers in France to force-feed geese until their livers become grossly enlarged so that Fortnum & Mason can sell the “torture in a tin”. Oddie also delivered a bag of coal for Managing Director Beverley Aspinall, to whom he wrote in September… Read more.

It’s a long way from the streets of Southwest London to the manicured lawns of the Highgrove Estate, but that is where an adorable stray pup called Beth has found herself after the Duchess of Cornwall adopted her from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
PETA may not always have seen eye to eye with the Duchess, but credit where credit is due – the adoption has received worldwide media coverage and will hopefully encourage many people to open their homes to a rescued dog or cat.
