Is this the Grossest PETA US Ad Yet?

Our colleagues at PETA US have come up with an ad that visualises just what eggs really are: chicken menstruation. It is a thought that makes us cringe, but chicken periods are exactly what you’re eating every time you fry, scramble or bake with eggs. We’ll spare you the full ad, but we’ve included a censored version below. If you are brave enough, visit PETA US’ website to see the full version.

As well as being gross, eggs are cruel. Birds suffer crippling leg injuries from standing on wire cage floors 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until they are killed. Their bones are brittle, both from forced inactivity and because calcium is leached from their bodies to produce eggs. Many more hens suffer from painful injuries when they’re ripped from their cages, thrown into transport crates and shipped to slaughter. Without even a shred of straw for comfort, all the hen’s natural instincts – including nesting, perching, scratching and pecking – are denied. These birds never get the chance to breathe fresh air, feel the sun on their backs, build nests, raise their young, or do anything else that is natural and important to them.

There’s never been a better time to cut eggs out of your diet. With the huge selection of animal-free foods, including egg-free mayonnaise and egg replacer for baking, available at virtually all supermarkets, there’s no excuse not to go vegan! Make the switch to a compassionate, healthy lifestyle by ordering your FREE vegan starter kit today.

The kind and friendly chicken is the most exploited, traumatized, tortured and massacred animal in the world. Just to placate human palates.

I love this ad. Please can you print it on a t-shirt?
People often ask me, ‘What’s wrong with eggs?’ and I say I find the concept of eating a hen’s ovum disgusting!
You wouldn’t believe how ignorant and far-removed people are about where their food comes from. I work in a veterinary practice and on the subject of dairy farming, a vet nurse said, ‘Who will milk the cows if they don’t live on farms?’ We need education for these f**kwits.

This dumb ad is a lot less gross than peta’s “Holocaust On Your Plate” shenanigan.
