Shh! Want to Know the Secret to a Long, Healthy Life?

Go vegan! On World Health Day, what better time to look at improving your health in one simple step? Especially as this year’s theme is “ageing and health”. On average, vegans are slimmer, trimmer and healthier than meat-eaters are. Their risk of getting some of today’s biggest killers such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer and strokes is much lower and their life expectancy is higher. Just see what a meat-free diet can do for you!

Add to that the fact that you will be saving the lives of around 100 animals a year, sparing them from a life of horrific suffering on a factory farm. Animals on factory farms are crammed together in filthy conditions and denied the opportunity to root for food, raise their young or even feel the sun on their backs.

Factory farms also provide the perfect breeding ground for pathogens to grow and spread. You’ve heard of bird flu, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and swine flu? These diseases are all linked to factory farming as the unsanitary conditions allow germs to spread and mutate easily. There are so many good reasons to go vegan and not a single reason not to.

And just to give you an extra helping hand, we’ll send you one of our free vegetarian/vegan starter kits, so ditch that meat today and embrace your new healthy, compassionate lifestyle. Happy World Health Day!

Bird flu and swine flu are not linked to factory farming. They are linked to free range chickens and pigs living in very close proximity to humans. This allows easy transmission of flu viruses between humans and the animals. Spanish Bird Flu pre existed factory farming.

Creutzfeld-Jacob Disease also is not related to factory farming. It is caused by feeding brain matter from affected sheep to cattle. Just as Kuru was not caused by factory farming.

On the other hand, massive overuse of antibiotics is creating resistance to antibiotics amongst factory farmed animals and may create epidemics of untreatable diseases in the future. Plus large amounts of greenhouse gases are produced from factory farms. — are good enough reasons not to support FFing…
