No Bull: easyJet Drops Bullfighting Promotions

After receiving letters from PETA and a PETA supporter highlighting the barbarity of bullfights and urging them to stop promoting bullfighting to British tourists visiting Spain, easyJet executives promptly took action and removed all references to bullfighting from their websites.

From the moment the bull enters the ring, he is destined to die. His death will be slow and painful, and the last moments of his life will be full of terror and confusion, played out in front of a jeering crowd. There’s nothing sporting about a bullfight – it is a sadistic form of human “entertainment” that has no place in civilised society, which is why, according to a 2009 survey, 76 per cent of Spaniards show no interest in attending or supporting bullfights.

Thanks to easyJet’s decision to remove all mention of the cruel blood sport from its website, easyJet customers will no longer be influenced to attend these cruel spectacles and unwittingly help to keep the dying industry on its last legs.

With Catalonia’s ban on bullfighting coming into force on 1 January 2012, we must use this momentum to pressure decisionmakers to ban bullfighting throughout the rest of Spain and other bullfighting nations. Please take action to ban bullfighting today.

Bullfights are monstrously cruel and barbaric. Matadors are sadistic animal abusers and killers.

  2. avatar Spider Woman says:

Bullfighting is a hideous crime and only a cowardly lowrider can find pleasure in such abuse and bloodshed of innocent bulls! Shame also on the spanish king, who is an admirer of this criminal blood shed! Shame on his crown!

  3. avatar Jeanne says:

shame on anyone who can stand and watch these noble creatures being cruelly abused . All bullfighting should be banned
