From the same Oscar-winning team behind Man on Wire, Project Nim is a documentary about the unsettling life of tragic chimpanzee hero Nim Chimpsky. The film details his life, from being placed as a baby with a human family by Columbia professor Herbert Terrace to learning sign language and displaying proof of cross-species conversations to being shuffled around between many organisations and animal research laboratories as an adult.

    I would say ‘Animals are not ours to abuse in any way’, even though the film deals specifically with experimentation.
