Ireland’s Suzanne McCabe Sticks To Her Anti-Fur Principles
You may remember that Suzanne starred in PETA’s first Irish “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” ad, which was released last year to coincide with the announcement that fur farming will be banned in the Republic of Ireland within three years. The ad was jointly released by PETA and the wonderful Animal Rights Action Network.
Well, vegetarian Suzanne has been in the news lately for refusing to model a “fur top and matching shoes” at the Peter Mark NCAD Graduate Show at Trinity College. Doesn’t this designer realise we’re not living in the Stone Age anymore?! After all, top designers such as Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood and Calvin Klein are able to produce amazing, cutting-edge designs without using real fur. It sounds like somebody needs to take this designer aside and let him know that cruelty to animals is never in fashion.
Thank you, Suzanne, for sticking up for animals. We look forward to seeing if this helps you get additional votes in the upcoming Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity competition. More details are coming soon. Watch this space!
