Pamela Anderson Fills in For Bardot at Press Conference

Here’s a report from a PETA US Director, Michael McGraw, on what happened when Pamela Anderson filled in for Brigitte Bardot at the very important annual press conference to protest the Canadian seal slaughter:

“Brigitte Bardot asked Pamela to fill in for her today at her annual news conference to protest the Canadian seal slaughter (Brigitte is ill and couldn’t make it). Pam of course did an amazing job. We arrived at Bardot’s offices to a swarm of press. Pam read a 1-page statement about how, as a Canadian, she is appalled that the seal hunt continues…she described in graphic detail how the seals are beaten to death, and encouraged consumers to boycott designers who work with any fur. She then screened a graphic 2-minute video of the seal slaughter. The press were stunned.

“After a few words from the Bardot Foundation’s campaigns director, Bardot herself called and was put on speakerphone…in front of all of the press, she thanked Pamela for continuing on the campaign in her place, and in broken English called Pam her daughter and her Valentine. Pam was so moved; it was very sweet. Pam was then presented with a heart-shaped bouquet of roses and a personal letter from BB. Then off we went to the Canadian embassy (with AP reporter and photographer and about 15 paparazzi in tow) where Pamela asked to see the Canadian ambassador so she could personally deliver a letter from BB to him in protest of the seal slaughter. Photographers went wild. We were turned away at security, but it made a great photo and a shocked guard promised to hand over the letter for her.”

Both of these ladies have done tremendous things to help animals, and you can help too by signing the petition asking the Canadian government to stop the seal hunt.

Wir können unsere Abscheu wegen der Grausamkeiten, die Menschen an Tieren begehen, nicht in Worten kleiden. Fakt: Nur gewissenlose, abartige Menschen sind zum töten im Stande!

I met Pamela Anderson during a work function a few years ago and I’m sorry I never told her in person what a great job she’s doing, and how inspirational she is to the new generations…
Too many horrible things are still happening around the world by the hands of people who have their conscience so detached and removed from feelings of universal love and respect for all forms of life on this planet. May they open their eyes one day and may our saddened and worried voices reach their heart, before it’s too late.
Thank you PETA, thank you Pam, thank you BB.

I can not express my disgust and horror at the killing of the baby seals.Anyone who can wear any fur is guilty of murder but the seals are a case of where murder is so gruesome and is beyond words to express . I am not able to do much, being in a wheelchatr with no legs, but am with you all the way.

Thank you for standing up against slaughter of living creatures! God will “destroy them which destroy the earth.” (Revelation 11:18).

I am from Switzerland. Here we have Vera Weber, daughter of Franz Weber who was fighting along with Brigit Bardot for the sake of the wonderful seals. Vera is now on the spot! I pray GOD to help her in the fight! Any normal person on this Planet should react against such cruelty!..They call this hunt…I call this cowardly murder!!!
If a human kills his baby he will end up in jail! Lets hope the baby seals murderers will end up in agony…LETS KEEP UP THE FIGHT FOR ANIMALS LIFE!

“Greater love hath no man than to give up his life for his friends” so said Jesus himself.

When you think of the scale and trappings of the movie-star celebrity status Bardot sacrificed for our animal friends, and the ultimate sacrifice of Diane Fossey, I think these women come as close as it gets these days to being saints.

How are there so few great women like them and so many unlike them?
