Dolphins in Captivity Do Not Die “Randomly”

In some sad news, a female dolphin called Sharky (I kid you not) has died whilst performing a stunt at an aquatic theme park in Florida. The 30-year-old bottlenose collided with another dolphin as they both jumped through the air at the same time in a ‘trick’ for spectators. Unfortunately they hit each other and Sharky died of head injuries.

A spokesman at the park has said, “This is an unfortunate, random incident”, but animals in captivity, forced to perform tricks day-in, day-out do not die accidentally. These dolphins belong in the big, blue ocean where they know best how to play their own games, rather than having some demeaning routine etched into their memories by profit-seeking ‘conservationists’. The park in question is allegedly now reviewing their training techniques but is that really good enough? No, it’s not. Take the dolphins out of the park for good and then we’ll give you some credit.

how sad…. we try to dominate animals, thinking that we’re the most intelligent of all, but it seems to me we’re the dumnest of all…the things we do… it0s just …shame on us for treating animals this way

I am ashamed to be human, I mean really, it is the 21st century and we still see animals as being there for our entertainment, it is like we are simpletons, half wits or something. Circuses still exist and wild creatures are subjugated in order that we are titillated…ocean parks like this one make beautiful sea creatures perform tricks, to pull in the crowds and make them open their stupid gobs and gawp “Ahhhhhh”..???…I mean come on folks…get a life…have a bit of respect and think about the species other than your own that need protection rather than exploitation…

This dolphin only died because it was made to perform tricks….its trainers should be ashamed of themselves…why was it not swimming in its natural environment free??

May Sharky rest in peace after a life of exploitation by humans. What a waste…the people behind these ‘aquactic shows’ and those who watch them should be deeply ashamed of themselves. They carry the blame for Sharky’s death.
