Ann Widdecombe Unveils Bearskin Footage

Today in the House of Commons, MP superstar Ann Widdecombe unveiled footage of black bear hunting in Canada - something the Ministry of Defence currently funds with the Queen’s Guards’ Caps. The MoD has spent over £320,000 on bearskin caps in the past five years alone. But Ann isn’t alone in the quest for kindness, as recently over 200 MPs signed an Early Day Motion calling on the government to switch to a modern and humane synthetic fabric. At the press conference, Ann was wonderful - giving a positive and emotional speech to masses of media about PETA’s highly important bearskin campaign.

Check her out in an interview with Friction TV below.

Bear skins. So the tory lady dosn’t want them. The skins are ones that are culled by the Canadian Govt.Because like Elephants they can be a b—-pest.IE Elepants ripping the trees down making the area into a desert. They stopped culling the Whales, but had to start again. As long as the Grizzly bear is left at a certain amount and NOT wipped out,I cannot see the harm.

Anne Widdecombe - up until now hasn’t impressed me with anything and I take my faux fur hat off to her (so to speak). Instead of sticking to tradition & masculine symbols of superiority - lets use our brains for once and come up with a simple humane solution - that shouldn’t be difficult - even for those thick skinned traditionalists who can’t see that it is just cruel and unnecessary. - Good for you anne I’m right behind you..

Thanks Anne for standing up against this horrendous cruelty. I may not like the Conservatives in general but animals rights exists outside the conservative/liberal polarity - it is an universal issue that brings together people from all walks of life.

the world is over populated by humans.. dont’ see people going around culling each other becuase human populations are over using limited land resources..
but they see fit/fine to go around culling certain animals species when they feel they are a ‘menace’ or over populated..such as bears, whales..seals.. etc. or which ever species they turn their attention to..
such a hypocritical attitude.. that’s how I feel -the human race feels it has some God given right to lord over the planet all the time.. deciding upon life and death of certain species as it feels fit..
and as we konw.. animals are no match to clubs and guns and bullets when wielded by humans..
